Sylvian Bzikot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru 'Morgeot' is a powerful and intoxicating wine with intense citrus fruit, mango, honey suckle and tropical notes which are perfectly balanced with toffee and vanilla oak notes. The tropical fruit comes through on the palate with spiced apple, cinnamon and fresh mineral acidity. Big, complex, refined, delicious.
Domaine Sylvain Bzikot maybe one of the lesser-known names in Puligny Montrachet, but the quiet and reserved Sylvain lets his wines, rather than a PR machine do the talking. The Domaine was started by Sylvain’s grandfather, a Polish emigrant, who arrived in Puligny just before the 2nd World War with nothing but the clothes he stood up in. From those very humble beginnings this family Domaine has managed to acquire an impressive 4 hectares of some of the most valuable agricultural land in the world, namely Puligny-Montrachet and Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru. They own a further 9 hectares of “regional appellation” vineyards which produce Bourgogne Blanc, Aligoté and Bourgogne Pinot Noir.
