Taittinger Brut Reserve is a majestic Champagne and one of the legendary names of the famous Champagne region. The Brut Reserve has a high proportion of Chardonnay (40%) in the blend which is rare in fine NV Champagne. This gives the wine a purity of fruit and elegance which is quite distinctive. It is expressive with fragrant peach, white flower and vanilla notes beautifully balanced with honey and baked biscuit. Brut Reserve is aged for three years before release and is one of the most consistent NV’s available.
Champagne Taittinger is the 3rd oldest house in Champagne, having started life in 1743 under the founder’s name, Jacques Fourneaux. It was purchased by Pierre Taittinger in 1932 who changed the name and turned it into one of the best known names in the region. The Taittinger style has always been influenced by Chardonnay and their flagship wine, Comtes de Champagne, is made exclusively from this elegant grape.
