The second wine of Chateau Rauzan-Segla, this has earned a solid reputation within Margaux. The 2009 Segla reveals an enticing bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, cedar, and a hint of orange rind. It opens beautifully in the glass, gaining depth and nuance with each swirl. Medium-bodied on the palate, supported by supple tannins and a fine line of acidity. There's a surprising density and structure here, with a well-judged touch of spice that carries through to a classy, persistent finish.
