Marco Porello Roero Arneis is a white wine made from the Arneis grape. The grapes are sourced from the rolling hills of the Roero region north of Alba. It is a zesty refreshing wine, packed with citrus and zesty green fruit along with some soft spice notes. It has a savoury quality and lovely texture which makes it perfect with fish and vegetable pasta dishes.
Marco Porello is a 3rd generation winemaker who took over the family vineyards in 1994. Based in the sandy hills of Roero, north-west of Alba, Marco and his family have been quietly crafting outstanding wines made from the area’s famous native grape varieties. The winery is situated in Canale, north of the town of Alba. It is also here that the vineyards for the Barbera grapes are located on south west facing, medium density soils with a good degree of clay content which allows for excellent drainage. The Arneis and Nebbiolo vineyards are located south of Canale in Vezza d’Alba on mineral rich soils which gives the wines a rich aroma. These are extremely well crafted wines that deliver amazing enjoyment at good prices.
