With roots stretching back to the 12th century, Château du Tertre is a historic Margaux estate with a prestigious pedigree. Its 50 hectares of vineyards are ideally located on one of the highest hills in the Margaux commune—Tertre meaning "knoll" in French. The estate shares borders with esteemed neighbours such as Cantenac-Brown and Brane-Cantenac to the north, and Giscours to the east.
In 2021, the Albada Jelgersma family sold the property to a French institutional investor. Today, it is managed by the Helfrich family, part of Les Grands Chais de France, ensuring a new chapter in the estate’s long and storied legacy.
