Now approaching its peak drinking period, this Merlot - Cabernet Franc blend from Chateau Ausone owner, the Vauthier family in Saint-Emilion, shows plum, violet and spice on the nose. Whilst on the palate, black cherry, blackberry and game notes shine. An intense and very special wine.

Facing Chateau Ausone, in the Southern part of Saint-Emilion, a stone's throw from the entrance to the village, Moulin Saint George came into the family's possession in 1921, with the Vauthiers now being represented by the 5th generation. The Chateau Moulin-Saint-Georges vineyards covers 8ha of Merlot alongside a few plots of Cabernet Franc. Musts are fermented traditionally in stainless steel tanks and then aged in 100% new oak barrels.
