A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot, and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (60% new), the 2019 vintage is celebrated for its depth and elegance. It offers aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and liqorice, complemented by subtle hints of tobacco and leather. On the palate, it's full-bodied with a velvety texture and a long, complex finish. The wine is structured yet balanced, with well-integrated tannins.
Château Léoville Barton, a second-growth estate in Saint-Julien, has consistently produced wines of exceptional quality. The 2019 vintage exemplifies the estate's commitment to classic Bordeaux style, characterized by its Cabernet Sauvignon-driven profile and the vintage's ripe, aromatic charm. The estate employs sustainable viticulture, including plowing without herbicides and using organic fertilizers. Since 2010, they have avoided synthetic weedkillers, opting for full tillage. 12 hectares of vines are managed organically, and 80 hectares are dedicated to meadows and woodland, supporting biodiversity.
