Chateau Batailley 2020 is as lovable wine that delivers great pleasure. Classic aromas of sweet blackcurrant and lighter red fruits along with wonderful spice notes, cloves, Asian spice and mint. The tannins are perfectly balanced with the wonderful structure of the wine. It’s precise, joyful and another classic.

Chateau Batailley is a 5th Cru Classe estate based in the Pauillac region of Bordeaux. The vineyard sits on a plateau to the west of Chateau Mouton Rothschild and is owned by the Casteja family who are like Bordeaux royalty. Philippe Casteja now runs the estate and has overseen a period of change that has seen the wines move from good quality, reliable clarets to wines of more serious quality that have complexity, finesse and fantastic purity of fruit.
