Bodegas Roda Rioja Reserva is the epitome of modern Rioja with ripe red and black fruit flavours. Red cherry, dark strawberry and hints of cassis mingle perfectly with flashy oak notes of cocoa, violets, sweet spice, vanilla and cinnamon. The wine has a lovely freshness to it on the palate, which is deep, textured, long and pure. The wine is aged in French oak, 40% new and 60% second use, for 14 months before being aged for a further 20 months in bottle before release.

Bodegas Roda have been at the forefront of new wave Rioja since the late 1980’s. That was a while ago, but this is a bodega that is consistently evolving and pushing the boundaries in terms of Tempranillo clone selection, renewable energy, vintage variation, old vine preservation and terroir. For 40 years, the wines have pushed the boundaries of whats possible and never stood still.
