Andreas Syrah Lithic Whisperer pays homage to the famous Syrah’s of the Northern Rhone Valley. There is all the inky dark bramble fruit you’d expect from a warmer climate wine, but behind the black cherry and plum is a mineral freshness that gives the wine another layer of complexity. Earthy flavours, white pepper and bitter chocolate come through on the palate.

Andreas estate sits in the beautiful Bovlei valley, just outside Wellington and a little over an hour from Cape Town. The estate comprises both luxury accommodation and a wine farm – a dream combination! The wine side of the business is headed up by Shaun Meyeridricks (ex Boekenhoutskloof AKA Chocolate Block) who is no stranger to producing top-quality award-winning wines. The small size and nature of the estate allows Shaun to have a hands-on approach to producing the best possible fruit and wine. Shaun might just have the dream job.
